GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Assist Travelocity Business client with planning all details of domestic and international travel including arranging/booking air, rail, hotel, car and/or alternate ground transportation for corporate booking as well as have strong aptitude/understanding for booking highly complex multiple leg international itineraries. Effectively use all Travelocity Business tools and/or resource tools to ensure consistency and adherence to client travel policies as well as Travelocity Business processes and procedures, such as the use of IRD (International Rate Desk). Communicates with Travelocity Business customers in an energetic, positive and effective manner, exercising call control as necessary to answer customer inquiries, provide information and complete transactions quickly and accurately. Provide priority wait-listing, preferred seat selection, upgrade management as needed. Recommend to clients efficient and alternate routes, lowest available fares, booking class, exchange rates and travel products/services. Act as a customer liaison between Client Corporation and contracted and preferred suppliers. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to customer service issue follow-up and resolution, visa/passport processing, voids, refunds, exchanges, split ticketing, etc. Consultant will understand client travel policy to advise and encourage policy compliance and consistently provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism. EDUCATION: High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Associate degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 year corporate travel international experience with emphasis on booking practices and theory either in a travel office or call center; experience with one or more GDS systems, ability to read, define and apply International tariff, fare rules, taxes, hub utilization and explicit knowledge/application of International airline contracts. Extensive knowledge of Native Sabre required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
