RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under limited supervision, promotes and sells international and domestic cruise, tour and vacation packages for our members via telephone or using computer reservation system. Researches complex travel rules and regulations. Assists in duties as assigned. Advises clients on various packages, itineraries, availability and costs. Actively responds to member requests on specific marketing mailings promoting various vendors. Must be able to apply consultative selling techniques.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrate strong ability to sell preferred supplier travel products. Requires thorough knowledge of travel industry, including computer reservations systems and other methods of making travel arrangements. Must be familiar with North American geography. Ability to read and interpret maps. Must maintain current awareness of travel rules and regulations. Strong attention to detail. Must have command of the English language and must be able to express oneself effectively verbally, in writing, in person and over the telephone. Must display interpersonal skills and ability to interact with members, employees and others in a professional and tactful manner. Knowledge of consultative sales techniques. Travel agency experience arranging domestic travel, using automated equipment (one year preferred), and experience with cruise and tour vendors. Fax resume to 925-455-9558
